Reminds me of the ditty, 'Curiosity killed the cat, satisfaction brought him back.' After scanning the rodents, I remembered seeing scans of seashells by Harold Feinstein.

http://www.amazon.com/
One-Hundred-Seashells-
Harold-Feinstein/dp/
0821262068/ref=pd_sim_b_
4/103-8789505-1593415

Apparently he's created several books of scanned objects but not rodents! Apparently almost anything can be scanned so we shouldn't confine our thinking to flowers only.

Here's a link of some of his scanned prints.
http://en.easyart.com/art-prints/artists/
Harold-Feinstein-1966.html

I'll try scanning our collection of animal skulls next to see if they would make good objects to scan. Some of the bird skulls are very delicate and the structures are detailed and interesting. A difficult lighting project for a camera but I think it should be relatively easy to obtain good results using a scanner. Glad you stopped by. Thanks for getting me started with all this. Seeing your initial scan inspired me to do it too.

We have two cats buried in the yard. We planted a crabapple over one grave and a Yoshino cherry over the other. The trees are referred to by the cats' names now. We thought it appropriate to honor them with a tree. Unfortunate to read that the vole got your corydalis. Such a beautiful flowering plant.Kihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05576859749293959381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9695751.post-12075309615771328292007-04-28T20:41:00.000-07:002007-04-28T20:41:00.000-07:00I am just now getting to see all your scans. I am ...I am just now getting to see all your scans. I am glad you tried the rodents as well as flowers. It made me miss our cat, who was such a great hunter. I think I lost another corydalis to vole tummies.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11106962533729909868noreply@blogger.com
