Ladybug pest?

I thought the ladybugs that try to invade homes in the fall were a minor annoyance but if they ate aphids-well we could tolerate cleaning up the dead bugs in the widow sills and occasional dessicated ones that made it into the house. I knew the windows were not leak proof but the crevices must be bigger than I thought for the ladybugs to get in. Here's an AP article that claims the asian ladybugs blemish fruit and kill/devour other beneficial insects.

I'm still having trouble with Blogger's linkfield so here's the url in case it doesn't popup.

Yes, this tells a different story than what I've heard. It almost sounds like the article writer is trying to scare people. Myself, I'm going to keep my eye out for more information and withold judgment for the time being.

Hi Kathy,
I can deal with any minor blemish of fruit a few ladybugs can cause (we don't really know if this is true, it may be the figment of someone's overactive imagination)rather than trying to get rid of hundreds/thousands of aphids that would result if we eliminated the ladybugs.
