User generated News - iReport from CNN beta test phase
iReport
This could be a way to post interesting plant news on a trip or even around the neighborhood. See the blooming lupine? and other flowers from Joshua Tree National Park which is a rare event according to the author.
And, stunning orchids by Finca Dracula.
The interface is a little glitchy. I had to click many times on Next or the numbers under the photo to see another picture.

I just checked this out - it's a cool idea. I wonder how popular it will be. It'll be interesting to watch its progress.
Have you given any more thought to Twitter? I'm still in test mode with it ... haven't decided if it is useful or just another distraction (and I really don't need that!!)
Hi Kate,
You have a very good memory. I haven't thought any more about Twitter since I wrote the article about micro-blogging. I just can't see the utility of such a limited format. You said it well, it would be another distraction.
iReport is more useful because it lets you upload photos and allows comments. Like an entry in a large multi-user blog without having to set up your own blog. A mini-blog in a macro-blog.
I just saw another plant related entry some unusual and beautiful orchids and added a link for the photos. This could be interesting. Thanks for your comment.
